Senior Web Developer (ref:Dani-SrWebDev)

Annual Renewable Contract – Based in Cape Town CBD – Salary/Rate Negotiable based in experience.

Experience required:

-        At least 8 years commercial programming experience (with 5 years being in an ASP.NET/C# environment)

-        Relevant IT degree or equivalent

-        ASP.NET/ C#

-        2 years Sharepoint development experience

-        MS SQL Server (enterprise scale within large organisation)

-        Ajax/jQuery

-        MVC/ SilverLight

-        XML/Web services

Key Purpose Statement:

The senior developer provides technical analysis, implementation and support of custom developed applications to meet business requirements enabling the business to improve operational efficiencies and make strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

-        Analysing functional requirements and designing technical solutions

-        Development and delivery of applications as per requirements, best practice and company development methodology & standards within agreed deadline

-        Problem resolution - Investigate problem areas and suggest & apply resolutions

Skills:

-        Ability to troubleshoot complex problems

-        Above average problem solving skills

-        Mentoring of more junior developers

-        Ability to lead developments

-        Accurate time/effort estimation and time management
